The Game Awards a premiat cele mai bune jocuri video, actori, studiouri din industrie și, desigur, cel mai bun joc al anului. Acesta a fost un show dominat de Baldur’s Gate 3, jocul care a încasat cele mai multe premii în această seară dar și alte titluri precum Alan Wake II și Forza Motorsport au câștigat mai mult de un premiu. În rest, majoritatea câștigătorilor au strâns doar câte un premiu de fiecare. Așa cum era de așteptat, Baldur’s Gate 3 a câștigat un binemeritat titlu de „Game of the Year”, fiind universal lăudat atât de presa de specialitate, YouTuberi, cât și de fani.
